Members who have rejoined recently will be receiving their membership packs and permits through the post in the next couple of days.

Western Region, British Balloon and Airship Club (WRBBAC) is the local club for balloonists in the South West. A major concentration of members is in the Bristol-Bath area but members live all over Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and further afield.

Thornbury Festival takes place in Thornbury, Gloucestershire and hot air balloons will be flying out from the festival on Saturday 4th July. The public are invited to come to the festival and full details will be available shortly.

"The weekend of the 20th-21st June is going to be amazing for balloonists.
The Newbury Show is celebrating 100years and have invited the British Balloon Museum & Library to tether old envelopes in the day, and other balloons from all regions to free fly morning and evening at the West Woodhay Garden Show in West Berkshire. "

Due to unforeseen technical reasons, the Met Line number has had to be
changed.
I have texted 82 paid up members with the new number (using the mobile
numbers in the database).
If you have rejoined since approximately 1st May, (or if WRBBAC does not
know your current mobile number) you may not receive a text, in which
case please email me back confirming your membership number and member
number (off the rejoining letter) and I will reply with the Met Line
details. Apologies to these people for the clumsy service, since the
most up to date data is inaccessible as the membership department is in
Spain on a well deserved holiday.

It is renewal time!
If you were a member in 2008-2009 you should have now got your 2009-2010 renewal letter and hotline. Please inform the membership secretary if you have not got the renewal pack.
